This web site was intended to showcase vernacular roadside structures and attractions throughout New York State. Among the various types of structures you'll find pictured here are a collection of "larger-than-life" structures, diners, drive-in theaters, tourist attractions, drive-in restaurants and roadside eateries, old gas stations, roadside advertising, and other points of interest found along the highways of New York State. The following collection of subjects pictured on this web site is a result of many years of work spent driving thousands of highway miles in an effort to capture the remnants of our roadside heritage on film. While many such examples used to dot the highways across New York, these are among the last remaining examples found at the end of the 20th Century. This web site should be considered a work in progress, with new photos being added periodically and possibly old ones retired. Thank you for visiting.
